Our Spicy Margarita cocktail is a tempting fusion of zesty lime, syrup, jalapeño infused tequila, chile liqueur, and an additional bold kick of spice from habanero bitters! Talk about providing an adventurous twist to the classic margarita experience! This cocktail, while definitely for the more adventurous palate, is the perfect balance between peppery spice and tangy citrus. This awesome cocktail is available at both of our locations, both RiNo and Longmont.
The Cocktail’s Composition
Crafted with care from our talented mixologists, this is one of The Local Drive’s signature cocktails. We start with Jalapeño Infused Lunazul Tequila. This spicy jalapeño infused Tequila has quite the kick! Made with fresh jalapeño peppers, this tequila brings a gentle amount of heat to the party. To raise the heat a bit, next we add Piment Chile Liqueur. Chile liqueur is made from the maceration of fresh whole Espelette peppers with a hint of Rhum agricole from Martinique. This, along with habanero bitters, adds a strong aromatic intensity and warm and spicy notes to the mix with its hot flavor of force 4 on the Scoville scale! Next we add some freshly squeezed lime juice to add a little tangy citrus flavor. This addition of bright and refreshing lime juice, really balances the bitterness of the tequila and the sweetness of the selected syrup.

Speaking of selected syrup, you get to choose the flavor of syrup for your Spicy Margarita! Choose from regular simple syrup, or from a variety of flavored syrups ranging from Strawberry, Mango, Peach, Guava, Prickly Pear, and Blackberry, to Passionfruit! We literally have a different flavor for every day of the week! Want to take it up a notch? Upgrade to a premium tequila, Jalapeño infused Patron Blanco! Patron Blanco is pure ultra premium, 100% blue agave tequila. It’s a crystal clear, smooth, soft and light tequila, and you can really taste the difference!
